Summit Aire Services used TitanSigma to combine ServiceTitan and accounting data, eliminating manual reconciliation and ensuring the accuracy of their data.
Summit Aire Services is a residential HVAC provider operating across Arizona and Nevada and specializing in installation, repair, and maintenance services. With more than 70 field technicians and seasonal service spikes, the company relies heavily on accurate job costing, technician revenue tracking, and fast billing cycles. These realities make alignment between finance and operations a critical part of daily business.
Prior to TitanSigma, the Summit Aire Services team faced challenges in unifying their ServiceTitan data with their accounting data in Sage Intacct. This process involved weekly manual reconciliation work, repeated payroll adjustments, and month-end reporting that was always behind schedule. Validating revenue, invoicing, and labor costs meant hours of manual spreadsheet checks across both systems.
In the words of Laura Kim, the Director of Finance at Summit Aire Services::
“Every month-end meant hunting down mismatches, correcting payroll records, and validating job revenue manually. It was incredibly time-consuming.”
As Summit Aire expanded into new service areas, the volume of operational and financial data increased dramatically. The team needed real-time financial visibility for leadership, but the only data available lived inside spreadsheets that were frequently out of sync. Building a report from ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct data took hours of manual work, and the end result never reflected the actual field situation, as it relied on outdated data.
Having outgrown spreadsheets, the company started looking to replace manual processes with a more automated alternative that finance could trust.
We reached a point where spreadsheets couldn’t keep up. Leadership needed real-time financial visibility, and we simply couldn’t deliver it.
Before TitanSigma, Summit Aire exported weekly ServiceTitan reports and manually reconciled those with Sage Intacct using spreadsheets and ad-hoc formulas. While workable at first, this process consumed several hours each week and was not scalable as the company kept adding new locations to its portfolio.
Manual processes also posed an ongoing risk of human error, especially during seasonal peaks. Additionally, this setup was vulnerable to turnover, as data was scattered across spreadsheets, and ad hoc formulas were difficult for new employees to understand.
While workable at first, this setup came with a few challenges:
The company tried to automate some tasks using Zapier. While it worked for triggering notifications when new invoices were created, Zapier wasn’t built to manage accounting-grade workflows. Tasks like payroll validation, month-end reconciliation, or multi-location job costing still required manual checks because the data coming out of Zapier wasn’t structured for financial reporting.
Summit Aire faced limited choices when replacing its existing system of spreadsheets, light automation through Zapier, and manual workflows. Building a custom integration internally was not practical due to limited engineering resources. An alternative was to implement a comprehensive data stack with a data warehouse, but leadership decided against it, believing it would be underutilized given the company's needs.
The company selected TitanSigma because it provided a clean, automated way to unify ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct, specifically for finance workflows such as payroll, invoicing, and job costing. Competing tools lacked the financial accuracy the team needed or required too much engineering effort.
We needed something finance could rely on every day. TitanSigma was the only solution that handled our ServiceTitan and Sage Intacct data with the accuracy we required.
Working directly with TitanSigma’s team, Summit Aire configured automated data flows for job costing, revenue, payroll, and invoicing. The integration was completed in under a week, giving finance full visibility across both systems almost immediately. Laura was impressed by how the TitanSigma team could speak the same language as finance professionals at Summit Aire:
“The setup was far easier than we expected. TitanSigma’s team understood our workflows and helped us map every financial data point correctly.”
The Summit Aire team enjoyed significant efficiencies and improvements upon implementing TitanSigma:
“Finance and operations finally rely on the same numbers. We don’t debate accuracy anymore; we just use the data,” Laura explains.
In the future, Summit Aire Services plans to expand its use of TitanSigma as the business continues to grow across new service areas. The team intends to extend automated financial workflows to future locations and incorporate additional payroll and revenue data points into their month-end processes. With a scalable foundation in place, finance no longer worries about whether reporting and reconciliation can keep up with operational growth.
TitanSigma helps us keep finance and operations aligned and maintain momentum as we grow. It is all the data infrastructure a scaling home service company needs.
